Expanded Polyethylene Foam (E P E Foam)

E P E Foam- EPE foams are low-density, semi-rigid, closed-cell foams that are generally somewhere in stiffness/compliance between Expanded polystyrene and Polyurethane. Use in protective packaging for goods like Electronic circuit Boards, Electric Products, Electronic Products, High-grade furniture, motorcycles, Glassware, and Pottery cycle Industries represented the largest use sector for such foams. Mattress manufacturing Industries, Bag manufacturing Industries are other major sectors that consume foam.

Expanded polyethylene foam, also known as EPE, is a molded semi-rigid, non-crosslinked, closed-cell polyethylene foam that is often denser and stronger than its open-cell counterparts.

Molded EPE planks are made with a very uniform cell structure.  The consistent cell structure results in a foam with superior physical properties that have the same multi-directional mechanical values.  This creates a material that cuts more consistently, has significantly less concavity and shrinkage when dye cutting, as well as, cleaner, more precise cuts when CNC cutting or machining.

Having higher strength-to-weight ratios than Extruded Polyethylene and Crosslink Polyethylene allows you to use less EPE, resulting in thinner walls and smaller overall package sizes with less dimensional weight.
